Questions from "Purpose, Audience, Genre"
1. What style is appropriate to address Prof. Santoy as opposed to a style for students?
The way we address Pro. Santoy compare to students is much different, one because she our professor so we must show her respect and two because she is like a boss, whatever she saids goes. She is the principal authority.
2. What are the style or form differences of a blog versus a microblog like Twitter?
In a blog you can write as much as you want and it will still post it. You can design your on blog the way you want it. In a microblog you are limited in what you say and you have to get your point across in little words and you cannot design your own blog.
3. What do you think of genres, such as memos? Are they easy or hard to write?
I see memos as text messages, you can be who you want to when you write a memo, you do not have to be all formal as you would with a professional document.

Purpose, Audience, Genre Task #3
I chose http://thesportsreview.org to be the blog that greatly intertested me. This blog is about sports and more sports. Sports have been apart of my life since I was 10 years old. I am always going to espn.com to find out scores and updates on my favorite players and teams. This blog talks about all the different sports and athletes that currently play on a professional level. You can even choose a topic to blog about. If this world did not have sports it would be a boring world to me. I love the competition and the fun that sports gives to me. Hook'em Horns.
Purpose, Audience, Genre Task #2
The blog I chose was The Gadgeteer. The blog is directed to people that use gadgets for their everyday life. Mainly for people that want to live a bit easier. The central focus of the blog is what new gadgets are available for people that are looking for gadgets and also reviews of the gadgets. The theme is gadgets and the design is very simple. I found this site very useful because I love gadgets and I tend to buy gadgets for myself and it is interesting to me. It is a simple not great design. This blog covers alot of things that a reader would love to know about gadgets. I would have added more color and graphics to the site myself since I am a graphic designer. The author is contructing her digital identity by showing the reader the different aspects of gadgets and what how she protrays it through the site. The site has many approaches that are similar because they tend to describe the item and then tell you about what they taught about that specific gadget.

My Into
Hello, my name is Luis Cabrera, my educational plans for the next several years is to graduate from Texas State Technical College in December of 2009. I will be graduating with in Associate’s in Digital Imaging. I plan to open up my own business when I graduate. I will be a graphic designer full time. Communication both written and oral is vital keys to my success in this business. People are going to come to me with what they specifically want in their design, from the color to what they want written. If I do not have good communication skills I should just quit pursing my future goals in life because communication will either make you or break you. This course will help me out in many aspects of my business career. It will increase my knowledge in written communication skills. I will be sharper and smarter on how to present a resume, bulletin, and a business plan. I currently work for my father in a family business named Cabrera’s International. I do taxes and graphic designing. We have had the family business now for 10 years. I am also a Youth Pastor for my church, Word in Season International. I have been involved with youth for about 5 year now. My passion is working with teenagers from any background. I also am the treasury for the council of the Texas Youth Commission Tamayo House, which is a halfway house for troubled teenagers. Kids have a unique way of communicating their problems to me, I do not know what it is, but I just have that gift of communicating with teenagers because I can relate with what they are going through. God has given me a powerful tool to reach out to these kids and it’s my tongue. When it comes to talking to kids I just have that anointing of speaking to kids in a way they can communicate back to me. Being a youth pastor, is challenging because these kids nowadays will keep you on your toes, something that a pastor needs every now and then. I love what I do and I love communicating with kids, so this course will help me sharpen my communication blade, both oral and written.
